Not at all. This is about supporting the home brewing community. This competition is something I personally wanted to start for about 3 years. It will be a lot of fun – that’s the goal. We will likely brew the winning beer only once or twice – we have a ton of other beers to brew too.

When I entered home-brew competitions before we opened the brewery I often won gift cards etc. and other breweries would brew my beer in pro-ams. We didn’t have to offer any prizes like this but wanted to be fair and offer terms that are in line with the top competitions in the country.
